'Wonderfalls' Co-Creator Gets New Deal FOX was not so thrilled with "Wonderfalls," but the studio that produced it liked it enough to sign its co-creator to a development deal.Bryan Fuller, who co-created the critically praised but quickly cancelled series with Todd Holland, has signed a two-year deal with 20th Century Fox TV, which produced "Wonderfalls" with Regency TV. Fuller will work on developing new projects and may also come aboard one of the studio's existing shows."Bryan has an incredibly fresh and unique voice for television," Dana Walden, president of 20th Century Fox TV, tells The Hollywood Reporter. "He's one of the people who sort of defines what this studio is trying to do in terms of distinctive and ground-breaking television."Fuller, who also created Showtime's "Dead Like Me," didn't have much luck with the FOX network on "Wonderfalls." The series was dropped onto the network's low-rated Friday schedule, then cancelled after one original episode aired on a Thursday, opposite "CSI" and "The Apprentice."And although the network and 20th Century Fox TV are both part of media giant News Corp., Fuller says he came away happy with the support "Wonderfalls" got from the studio."I'm really looking forward to sitting down and developing new projects with these people," he says, "because they were so incredibly supportive and nurturing with 'Wonderfalls.'"
